I am a fully qualified and experienced Psychotherapist with a practice based in Sheffield. I am accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and hold a Masters Degree in Core Process Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute in Devon, one of the first trainings to integrate mindfulness practices into its approach. In addition to working privately as a Psychotherapist, until recently I also worked as the Assistant Director of The Centre for Better Health, a progressive mental health charity in Hackney.
In addition to this my background has been in the fields of social care, mental health and contemplative practice. My work has been across a broad spectrum of third sector providers including homelessness charities and mental health providers. I have spent many years studying and practicing within different contemplative traditions, particulalry Buddhism.
I am a fully authorised Soto Zen teacher and lineage holder, teaching as part of the StoneWater Zen community and part of the wider White Plum Asangha.
I am part of the faculty of the Karuna Institue, teaching as a tutor on the Core Process Trainings in Psychotherapy.
I am also interested in working with individuals who are engaged in the processes of following contemplative paths within the context of our busy, ordinary, everyday lives, with all of the challenges this entails.
